Marissa Alma Nick is an American Contemporary Dancer/Choreographer/Director. She graduated high school from New World School of the Arts in Miami, received her BFA in Dance Performance from the University of South Florida and was selected to attend the Creative Capital Professional Development Program. Since graduation, she has worked and performed for Mia Michaels, Nina Watts, Daniel Lewis, Rosie Herrera, Mark Harris, TEDxMIA, Art Basel Miami and the Knight Foundation’s 100th Random Act of Culture.
Marissa's work as a Contemporary-Choreographer is expressed through the medium of Screen-Dance and Transmedia-Immersive Theatre. She has had her work commissioned and supported thus far by Tigertail, Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs, Miami Light Project, Artist Access, Miami-Dade County Auditorium, Filmgate, Dances Made to Order, Next @17th, Inkub8, Pablo Cano’s Red Velvet Theatre, Thought Loom, University of South Florida and 6thSt. Container Alternative Art Space.
