I’m a writer, but I began my artistic career as the director/choreographer and founder of the all-female Alma Dance Theater for over ten years (creating immersive work rooted in a woman's POV), and the Artistic Director of ScreenDance Miami (an international screen-dance festival) from 2012 to 2015. That background continues to shape my writing because I still feel deeply attuned to how emotion lives in the body, how trauma moves and settles, and how physical sensation can carry meaning when language fails.

After my four knee surgeries, I finally retired from dance, and my debut self-published novel, Rebel in Venus, solidified my commitment to writing. I’m currently writing the second book in my Emma-Jean trilogy - examining inherited repression, institutional control, and feminine power across generations.

Throughout my creative career, whether I'm using bodies or words to tell the story, my work continues to explore themes of mental health, queer identity and women’s autonomy versus shame - consistly insisting on truth as an act of resistance.
